Pain and disability management through individualized homoeopathic treatment in lumbar spondylosis: A prospective observational study

Background: Lumbar Spondylosis is an age-related degenerative disc disease of the lumbar spine. It almost universal with increasing age. considered to be related low back pain and disability. Conventional treatment for spondylosis commonly includes anti-inflammatory medications, analgesics, muscle relaxants, Non-steroidal drugs. Objectives: The objectives present study were assess effects individualized homeopathic remedies in management based on Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) disability using assessment by Oswestry Low Back Pain Disability Questionnaire Index (ODI).Materials Methods: A prospective observational was conducted from October 2015 2016 a sample size 30. Results: Out 30 cases enrolled 93.33% patients showed improvement decreased VAS ODI scores. mean score pain, assessed reduced 78.33±10.75 (at baseline) 47.1±18.24 (in end), 47.63±12.87 25.67±13.36 end). Among most used medicines Lycopodium (n=6) 20% Phosphorus (n = 4) 13.33%. Conclusion: Homoeopathic are effective due spondylosis.
